Built like a magazine, run like a test kitchen.
Well Worth It Lab is an independent product-testing publication. We test wellness, fitness, home, food, and lifestyle upgrades to figure out what's useful, what's overhyped, and what is actually well worth your money.
What we test
We test things people in our group chats are already asking about — water filters, walking pads, sauna blankets, protein powders, non-toxic cookware. We choose by reader signal and a lot of "wait, does that actually work?" first.
How we test
Every product we recommend has been used in a real home for at least two weeks. Most stay around for a month or longer. We score on six axes — usefulness, value, quality, ease of use, real-life impact, and "would we buy it again?" — and combine those into a single Well Worth It Score out of 10.
For categories with measurable outputs (filtration, calibration, weight), we use lab-grade or third-party reference equipment. For everything else, we rely on extended use and multiple reviewers in different households.
How we make money
We use affiliate links. If you buy something through one, we may earn a small commission. Our scores and verdicts are never influenced by commissions. If a tested product flunks, it stays flunked — even if we'd lose income by saying so.
We don't do sponsored verdicts. We don't accept paid placements in best-pick lists. We don't take payment from brands to test their products faster.
Who we are
A small team — 7 reviewers across 4 cities — with a mix of fitness, food, materials, and design backgrounds. We're not doctors. We're not influencers. We're picky people who hate buying junk.
